From donated books to a dream come true.
High in the beautiful Himalayan village of Ghasa, Mustang, something truly special has taken shape.
Thanks to the incredible generosity and hard work of our volunteers Keith and his daughter from Canada, together with Toscane from France, a brand-new library has been established at Janata Adharbhut School.
Hundreds of donated books were carefully collected in Hong Kong, shipped all the way to Nepal, and then transported into the Himalayas. But their journey didn`t end there. Our volunteers spent days sorting, organizing, assembling shelves, and building the library from scratch—transforming an empty room into a vibrant space where children can discover the joy of reading and learning.
A library is more than just books. It is a place where curiosity grows, imagination flourishes, and young minds are inspired to dream beyond the mountains that surround them.
To Keith, his daughter, and Toscane—thank you for your kindness, dedication, and belief that every child deserves access to books and the opportunity to learn. Your generosity will continue to inspire generations of students in Ghasa.
