From painting the entire space to collectively raising funds and installing a new carpet, their dedication has created a brighter, more welcoming environment for the children.

The vibrant orange hues of Thimi are calling!
Today, our volunteers joined the sea of orange in Thimi, Bhaktapur to celebrate the incredible Sindur Jatra! This festival is a true sensory explosion, marking the arrival of the Nepali New Year with traditional music, palanquin processions, andโof courseโshowers of orange vermilion powder (Sindur).
Seeing our volunteers fully immersed in the local traditions, covered in orange, and dancing alongside the community is what cultural exchange is all about. At VSN, we don`t just want you to see Nepal; we want you to feel the heartbeat of its heritage.
