Welcoming passionate hands and a healing heart to Nepal!
We are thrilled to welcome Maria Wojna from Poland, who has arrived for her 4-week physiotherapy internship program at our supported Disability Center!
With very limited rehabilitation resources and no full-time physiotherapist on-site, Mariaโs expertise and dedication will make a world of difference here. Over the next month, she will be diving into meaningful work:
Conducting basic mobility and functional assessments
Guiding children through vital rehabilitation exercises (stretching, strengthening, and balance training)
Creating simple, sustainable daily therapy plans for ongoing care
Training local caregivers and staff in safe stretching, positioning, and contracture prevention
Bringing joy to therapy through fun movement games and interactive group activities
Even a few weeks of structured guidance create a lasting impact, ensuring our children continue to thrive long after the program ends.

Martin has embarked on an incredible 4-week Medical Elective Internship Program in the stunning Himalayan district of Solukhumbu. He is based at Phaplu Hospital, working alongside local doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff to support rural mountain communities.
From gaining unique hands-on clinical experience in remote Himalayan healthcare to immersing himself in local Sherpa culture and mountain life, this journey is all about learning, service, and cross-cultural exchange.
