“Don’t just travel to see a difference. Travel to make a difference”

If you’re looking to trek, hike or travel in Nepal, then you only need to type these buzzwords into Google or walk the streets of Kathmandu to find an endless number of tour and trek travel companies.

You could choose any of these companies to take you to the Himalayan mountains or show you around Kathmandu and you’ll have a pretty decent experience. Or are you looking for something different? Do you want to truly connect with local Nepali people and immerse yourself in their lifestyles and culture while you travel?

Volunteer Society Nepal is a sister company of Volunteer Society Nepal, established in 2004, a Nepal based, Nepali run company that strives to provide the most unforgettable and meaningful experiences for our guests in this beautiful Himalayan country.

Our travel and trekking in Nepal service allows us to combine the two parts of our business that we enjoy most: showing off the beauty and rich culture of Nepal to foreign guests, and helping grass-roots community projects throughout the Kathmandu Valley and across Nepal.
Because we live and work in the areas we take our tourists and volunteers to, we know best how to bring maximum benefit to Nepali communities through sustainable long-term transformation, aided by the profits we receive from our business.

We offer an amazing range of different tourtrekking, adventure and Nepal experience packages to enrich your journey by giving back to Nepal during your holiday.

You can make a difference whilst enjoying the rich variety of flora and fauna, the everlasting smiles of Nepalese, the inner hospitality of the host communities, cultural diversity, scenic beauty, unique blend of Buddhism and Hinduism, home of Mount Everest, ever flowing rivers and glaciers, snow-caped mountains, World Heritage sites … the list goes on!

Your participation in our tourism packages changes the lives of underprivileged children and women in Nepal

There are many different ways of giving back, and we at Volunteer Society Nepal (VSN) work closely with each traveler to determine the most appropriate and beneficial activities for you and the community.

Pack For a Purpose
In Nepal, many at-risk children lack basic necessities like food, clothing, shelter, safety, parental support, healthcare, and education, which are essential for normal childhood development.

We ask our travellers to Pack for a Purpose. This means that by saving just a few kilos of space in your suitcase you can bring much-needed supplies to areas that you visit. Before your arrival, we will consult with the communities you’ll be visiting to find out exactly what they need, and how you can most effectively help.
